My comments on Steve's blog appear overzealous. I believe PR agencies approach to social media and traditional media should be one and the same. However I don't think PR agencies are in a position to actually act through on this for a variety of reasons.

Looking past Steve's social media debate, it is wishful thinking that we would think of the bigger picture instead of the reality where agencies compete for a bigger slice of the pie when it comes to their client's budget, instead of working together to deliver campaigns that connect with the target audience and provide best value.
